•  Charles Lei is the founder and CEO of Thunder Communications International, a content company specializing in the design, production, and deployment of cross media continuing education materials targeting the emerging Chinese middle class.

•  Prior to TCI, Lei was the Senior Vice President, Greater China for CNBC where he was responsible for strategic planning, revenue generation, business development, and building and managing relationships with relevant Chinese government agencies, local partners and advertisers.

•  Before CNBC, Lei was the General Manager, China Operations for Walt Disney Television International (Asia Pacific) and was responsible for the Disney's comprehensive pay and free TV business interests in the People's Republic of China .

•  Lei joined The Walt Disney Company in 1996 as a Senior Manager, Business Development for Buena Vista Home Entertainment Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong . In 1997, he moved to Walt Disney Television International, first as Senior Manger then Director of Sales, where he subsequently was promoted to his role as the executive responsible for all Disney Television activities in China .

•  Before joining Walt Disney, Lei ran his own Los Angeles-based information technology consultancy practice specializing in the entertainment industry.

•  As an international Emmy award nominee for the 2003 UNICEF International Children's Day of Broadcast (ICDB) initiative, he has been honored with membership in the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He is also a China corporate advisory committee member for the Special Olympics and an Honorary Professor of Media Communications at one of China 's top universities, Tsinghua University in Beijing .

•  Originally from Taiwan , Lei earned his undergraduate degree of BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of California , Los Angeles , and his Master of Business Administration from University of Southern California . He is married with two sons.
